This is the first-use route through the Official MktOS Documentation. Use the overview and relationships to see the whole system, the operating cadence to find the next event, and the entity/process catalog when a term or responsibility needs clarification.
Start with one real marketing priority. You do not need to document every activity or adopt a new tool before using MktOS.
Use the integrated artifacts within this route. North Star and OKRs guide the Product Backlog of projects, milestones and tasks. A sprint view is the Sprint Backlog; accepted usable work produces Increments. Agree how work flows through the board. Use the Business Model Canvas for relevant model assumptions, an A3 for the priority problem, and paired Test/Learning Cards for experiments. Working prompts can live in your existing records.
- Understand the framework. Read the MktOS Guide. Identify the problem you want to address and the value you expect to create.
- Make a first plan. Copy the marketing plan template. Use existing research and performance evidence. Separate strategic choices from objectives and measures; keep missing information explicit.
- See an example. The planning article illustrates a solo consultant's plan and weekly routine. Its numbers are invented. It explains the planning part of MktOS, rather than the whole framework.
- Choose the next useful work. Agree who can decide priorities and commit capacity. Select a realistic sprint goal and ready tasks. Use the delivery and weekly review routine to inspect results, improve the process, and plan what follows.
- Learn from evidence. At the agreed observation point, compare results with the baseline and target. Decide what to continue, change, or stop. Accepted delivery and demonstrated marketing impact are separate judgments.
For a team, fill one shared plan and check availability by person or skill. For solo work, one person may carry all responsibilities. Use the tool you already share; keep each live plan, commitment, and status in one place.
If an essential input is missing, choose how to obtain it and continue work that does not depend on it. A blank baseline means unknown, not zero. A result you cannot yet measure needs measurement work before a credible outcome judgment.
The MktOS Operating Handbook explains working standards. When your priority needs a bounded intervention, use Playbook: Define a project. Gabriel's Q4 plans, cold-run records, and development reviews document the framework's construction; they are not prerequisites for your first plan.
When trying this route, note where you needed someone to explain a term or decision. Those observations help improve the instructions; a completed template alone does not demonstrate usability or marketing impact.
